Triple Shell Pendant

This is an original, one-of-a-kind pendant made from the highest quality fresh water mussel shells  found in the Saline River–a scenic and sleepy 202-mile-long tributary of the Ouachita River in central Arkansas.

The idea of Saline River Diamonds jewelry was created when designer Zach McClendon was looking for a natural gift for his daughter Robin (a nature enthusiast) who loves the natural beauty of the Saline River.

Zach walked across a sand bar and noticed the glistening of a particular shell. After many tries using different acids and polishes, he finally discovered a formula that produces a very beautiful finish. No two sets of earrings, necklaces or bracelets are the same.

This particular triple shell pendant can be worn with shells facing either direction. Both sides are different and stunning in their own way.

You Should Know: There are many different color variations from dark with interesting patterns of “Pearl of Essence,” to the bright white, and also the rarest and most difficult to produce, pink. There are many different species that produce these brilliant color displays which makes each peace of jewelry a rare one of a kind collectors item.

Small Stuff: The color of each shell captured in the photographs may vary slightly in person and under different light conditions. It’s part of the “character” of each piece.
