Preparing your own oysters at home can be intimidating. On the day your box of big Sewansecott oysters arrives in the mail (after you’ve finished jumping up and down with joy) you may find yourself thinking “OK, now what the hell do I do with these things?” Don’t worry, we contacted our resident chef, Matthew Bell to provide a quick tutorial on How To Shuck An Oyster. Grab a few extra shuckers from us and make it a shuckin’ party!

Grilled Oysters

Shuck oysters and place on a towel to help keep them upright to keep juices intact. To each oyster add 1tsp each of lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, garlic butter, and finely grated Parmesan cheese. Place on a hot grill and cook until bubbling.
Garlic Butter
1 clove finely grated garlic
1/4 pound butter softened
Blend thoroughly
