These handcrafted one-of-a-kind picture frames are made from from refurbished wine barrels collected from the regions of Sonoma Wine Country - Sonoma Coast, Russian River, and Alexander Valley.  The artisans have incorporated all aspects of the barrel from the shape of the barrel itself, to the contrast of metal, wood and the subtle nuances of the wine stained French and American oak.  The barrels are individually hand selected to ensure  all pieces reveal the natural beauty of each unique stave. Like fingerprints, no two barrels are the same.

The process of making wine attributes to the unique patina (the natural stain colorations that occur from the wine aging) of the barrel. Because of each barrel’s individuality, the artisans draw inspiration from their varying colors, interesting markings and the richness of their tones. Each barrel is the artisans palette from which the frame is created.

Each frame is handcrafted in the USA. The Cellar Frame is created using alternating pieces of the exterior and interior of a wine barrel veneered onto a red oak. The inside trim alternates with the main pattern of the frame to create a unique checkered design. The color variations and markings are dependent on the barrel used and range in tones from black to gray to natural tan and deep purples to reds.

These frames are a must for the wine connoisseur in your life.
