The Adam and eve combo with forbidden fruit recipe is a gin based cocktail with a long history. It is the original creation of Louis Fouquet, a barman at the Manhattan Club in New York City. In 1902, it was said to be one of the most popular drinks in New York.
A lot of variations exist for this drink and it consists of gin, brandy, lemon juice and lime juice. All the ingredients are poured in a mixing glass along with some ice and being shaked to prepare this drink. Then, it is strained into a martini glass with Citrus garnish if needed.
Adam and Eve cocktail can be served as an aperitif or digestif drink. It is also been called ‘The Barfly Special’.
1 Ounce Forbidden Fruit
1 Ounce Gin
1 Ounce Brandy
½ tsp Lemon Juice
1. Shake well with cracked ice and strain into cocktail glass.
2. Serve in a Cocktail Glass.
