The Beauty Beneath is a drink based on the original Negroni, but with the addition of rum and angostura bitters. Jeffrey Morgenthaler, a well-known mixologist from Oregon, created it initially in 2008. When he was in Eugene's Bel Ami pub, he came up with this cocktail.
This drink offers an incredible range of tastes. You think it's overly sweet at first, then the harshness of the Campari will hit you, shorlty then the orange kicks in, and everything comes together to form a magnificently unified creation. It is intended to be served in a short glass or rocks glass over ice.

Rum
Ingredients
2 ounce Dark rum
½ ounce Sweet Vermouth
½ ounce Campari
½ ounce Triple Sec
½ tsp Angostura Bitters
Orange twist
Recipe
1. Shake with ice and strain into chilled cocktail glass.
2. Add orange twist.
3. Serve in a Cocktail Glass.
