The Blood Orange Rosemary cocktail is a fun twist on a classic. It’s a little sweet with an herbaceous finish from the rosemary. The delicious simple syrup in this cocktail was inspired by some lovely blood oranges. The blood oranges are cooked with fresh rosemary sprigs and seasoned cinnamon sticks in a simple syrup combination.
This is a lovely concoction with all of the preferred cocktail flavors, including herbs, citrus, and a hint of spice. The syrup is cooled and blended with gin before being topped with sparkling prosecco or champagne for a Christmas bubbly cocktail!
¾ ounce freshly squeezed blood orange juice
1 tsp rosemary bitters
¾ ounces blood orange liqueur
1½ ounces citrus flavored vodka
Orange wheels and rosemary sprigs for garnish
1. Chill a coupe.
2. In a cocktail shaker, combine the blood orange juice, rosemary bitters, blood
3. orange liqueur, and citrus vodka.
4. Add ice and shake to chill.
5. Strain into the chilled coupe. Garnish with orange wheels and rosemary sprigs.
