Brandy Crusta

The Brandy Crusta was invented sometime around 1860. It is a cocktail which is made up of brandy, cognac or armagnac, triple sec, lemon juice and sugar. It is often served with a slice of orange on the side. It is called the drink of the Gods. It's not very common, but good and recommended. You can also use other liquors such as Gin, Rum, Whiskey, Tequila, etc for variations.

Spirit Used

Ingredients

2 ounces brandy
¼ ounce curaçao
½ ounce fresh lemon juice
½ ounce simple syrup
1 tsp maraschino liqueur
½ tsp Angostura bitters
Garnish: lemon twist
Garnish: sugar rim

Recipe

1. Rim a coupe glass with sugar and set aside.
2. Add all ingredients into a shaker with ice and shake.
3. Strain into the prepared glass.
4. Garnish with a lemon twist.
