Cherry Bomb cocktail

The Cherry Bomb cocktail is an old-school drink that was popular among the sailors in the 1940s. The drink is made of rum, grenadine, lime juice and cherry syrup. This cocktail became famous after it was immortalized in “The Thin Man” which was a detective novel written by Dashiell Hammett.

This Cocktail is a non-alcoholic cocktail that has an amazing combination of flavors. It has a very unique taste due to the mixture of cherries, lemon and lime, mint leaves, simple syrup, and bitters. The cocktail gives you a great refreshing feeling while still being sweet.

Spirits Used:

Ingredients

½ ounce freshly squeezed lime juice
½ ounce grenadine syrup
2 ounces rum
Ice
Ginger ale
1 maraschino cherry for garnish
Lemon wedge for garnish

Recipe

1. In a cocktail shaker, combine the lime juice, grenadine, and rum.
2. Add ice and shake until chilled.
3. Strain the mixture into a collins glass filled with ice and top with ginger ale.
4. Garnish with cherries and a lemon wedge and serve.
