Cranberry Kamikaze

The Cranberry Kamikaze cocktail is a type of alcoholic beverage that was invented by bartender Donato “Duke” Antone at the Hotel Bel-Air in Los Angeles, California. It consists of vodka, triple sec, cranberry juice, and lime juice. The drink was created by Antone for singer Linda Ronstadt who had a throat infection and loved cranberries. The drink was named after the Japanese word for crazy - kamikaze. The drink started to gain notoriety when it was featured on the TV show "Sex and the City" in Season 3 Episode 11. It is a delicious and refreshing drink, perfect for any occasion. It can be made in minutes and is sure to please.

Spirit Used


½ ounce freshly squeezed lime juice
¼ ounce cranberry juice
¾ ounce triple sec
1½ ounces vodka
Lime twist for garnish


1. Chill a martini glass
2. In a cocktail shaker, combine the lime juice, cranberry juice, triple sec, and vodka.
3. Add ice and shake.
4. Strain into the chilled martini glass. Garnish with a twist of lime.
