Diamond Fizz

Diamond fizz is a cocktail that was first introduced to the public in the early 20th century. It is a mixture of seltzer, gin and grapefruit juice and it is also known as Bombay Fizz. After World War II, the drink was reintroduced into the market by one of its creators, Harry McElhone. He renamed it to Harry’s New York Bar Cocktail, but later modified the name to Diamond Fizz. The recipe for this cocktail has been changed over time based on what ingredients were available at that specific moment in time. The most common ingredients are gin or vodka and club soda or seltzer water.
