The Frozen Guava-Passionfruit Punch cocktail has been around since at least 1965 and has been attributed to Trader Vic’s Restaurant in San Francisco. The drink takes advantage of ripe fruit from late summer, as well as some frozen ingredients.
It is a delicious recipe made with fresh guava and passion fruit puree, lime juice, simple syrup and Olmeca Altos Reposado tequila. It has an amazing blend of tropical flavors that make you feel like you are on vacation.
2 guavas, rind removed and roughly chopped
2 ounces freshly squeezed lime juice
2 ounces passionfruit liqueur
2 ounces pineapple flavored vodka
2½ ounces crushed ice
1. In a blender, combine the guava, lime juice, passionfruit liqueur, and pineapple vodka. Blend.
2. Add crushed ice and blend until smooth.
3. Pour into two collins glasses.
