Gold Cadillac

The Gold Cadillac cocktail is a mix of gin, apricot brandy, lemon juice and grenadine. Many people believe that this cocktail was invented by one of the bartenders at the Old Waldorf Bar in New York City. This is because it has many similarities to an earlier drink called "White Lady" which was created by Harry McElhone at Harry’s Bar in Paris in 1922. The recipe is based on the whiskey sour and may have been named after an early General Motors luxury car model.
