The history of Harvey Wallbanger cocktail began in 1969, when a man named Donato “Danny” DiMaggio created the drink. In the late 1960s, DiMaggio owned a bar called The Hungry I. One day, he was asked to make a new drink by the owner of The Limelight Club and DiMaggio combined orange juice and vodka to create his iconic cocktail.
