The Hush and Wonder cocktail is a drink that was originally created by Johnnie Solon, who at the time worked as a bartender at the Café de Paris in London, in 1884 and is said to be the first “tea cocktail.” The ingredients in this drink include gin, absinthe, white wine, sugar and lemon peel.
⅛ ounce Crème de violette
2 ounce Light Rum
¾ ounce Fresh Lime Juice
¾ ounce Simple Syrup
1 ½ tsp Grapefruit bitters
1. Pour creme de violette into chilled cocktail glass and swirl to coat; discard excess liqueur.
2. Shake remaining ingredients with ice and strain into glass.
3. Serve in a Cocktail Glass.
