Kamikaze Drink

Kamikaze is a cocktail consisting of equal parts vodka, lime juice, and triple sec. It is typically served in a cocktail glass or highball glass with ice. This drink is said to have originated in Oakland, California, sometime around the 1970s, invented by bartender Donato "Duke" Antone at his Bay Street Bar & Grill restaurant in Emeryville. It was originally called the "Cherry Bomb" but later renamed to "Kamikaze" after World War II aircraft pilots who were known to make suicide missions on Japan.
