Moscow Mule

The Moscow Mule is a cocktail made with vodka, ginger beer, and lime juice, garnished with slices of lime. It was introduced to the public in 1946 at the Cock 'n' Bull restaurant in Hollywood by John G. Martin's son-in-law, Jack Morgan. Many people believe that the Moscow Mule was created as early as 1941 when Harry Steed invented his own drink called “Moscow Cocktail." The recipe for this drink included vodka and ginger beer that he bought from a company called Smirnoff which would later inspire the name of another popular cocktail.
