Paloma Shot cocktail

Paloma Shot is a cocktail made up of Tequila and Grapefruit soda. This drink has origins in Mexico and was created in the 1940s or 1950s. It is said that Juan Palomo, a bartender from Guadalajara, invented the Paloma when he mixed grapefruit soda with tequila. The name of this drink comes from the bird called the “Paloma” in Spanish, which is similar to dove.

Spirits Used:

Ingredients

¼ ounce simple syrup
¼ ounce freshly squeezed lime juice
½ ounce grapefruit juice
1 ounce tequila
Ice
Grapefruit wedge for garnish

Recipe

1. In a cocktail shaker, combine all the ingredients.
2. Add ice and shake until chilled.
3. Strain into a two ounce shot glass and garnish with a grapefruit wedge.
