Pineapple Kona Coffee Martini is a cocktail with an interesting history. It was invented in the 1920s, but didn’t become popular until the 1960s, when it started being served at Trader Vic’s.
Trader Vic’s is a restaurant chain that was founded by Victor Jules Bergeron Jr., who became known as Trader Vic. The first restaurant opened in 1934, and the chain eventually expanded to include more than 30 restaurants around the world. In addition to serving various tropical drinks and dishes, Trader Vic’s also became famous for its original cocktails including this pineapple kona coffee martini cocktail. This drink has a nice little kick to it. It is sweet and flavorful, but not too fruity. It goes down smooth and gives you the perfect jolt of energy to get your through the day!
1 ounce fresh pineapple juice
1 ounce Kona coffee liqueur
1 ounce freshly brewed Kona coffee, chilled
1 ounce pineapple rum
1. Chill a cocktail glass.
2. In a cocktail shaker, combine the pineapple juice, Kona coffee liqueur, Kona coffee, and pineapple rum.
3. Add ice and shake to chill.
4. Strain into the chilled martini glass.
