The Rum Old Fashioned is simply a cocktail made with rum, Demerara syrup and bitters. This cocktail has been around for over 100 years. The drink was originally made with whiskey and then switched to rum in the 1930s. Though seemingly simple, the combination of flavors and styles lend to this drink being incredibly complex and tasty.
