Spiced Caramel Apple is a cocktail made of Captain Morgan’s Spiced Rum and cloudy apple cider. The history of this beverage is not very long. It was first created in 2013 by a Chicago bar called “Monkey King Bar & Grill.” The drink was then nicknamed “Kronik” and became popular among locals. The caramel taste is so good that you don’t even need to add ice cream to your glass. It’s tasty enough with just the apple juice and cider. This drink has been spotted at other bars as well, such as Minneapolis’ “Black Dog.”
2 ounces spiced rum
2 ounce apple cider
1 tsp cinnamon bitters
½ ounce lemon juice
2 ounces caramel syrup
Apple wedge and cinnamon stick for garnish
1. In a cocktail shaker, add ice, rum, apple cider, bitters, lemon juice, and caramel syrup.
2. Shake well to blend ingredients and chill.
3. Strain into rocks glass over fresh ice.
4. Garnish with apple wedge and cinnamon stick.
