The first documented use of Sugar in a cocktail was in 1824 when John Collins, an English bartender used it to make the drink ‘Old Fashioned’. The sugar helped to balance out the sourness of the lemon juice with all its flavors and alcohol.
6 ounces freshly brewed coffee
1½ ounces vanilla vodka
In a mug, pour the freshly brewed coffee.
Add the vanilla vodka. Stir.
