The Vodka Grapefruit Sour was first served at the Bombay Club in Mumbai, India in the 1930s. It is reported to have been developed by Mumbai-based bartender Ram Kishore Khurana for customers who wanted a drink similar to a Tom Collins but with vodka instead of gin. It is a cocktail that is made with vodka, grapefruit juice, lemon juice and honey. This cocktail is very light and crisp, perfect for a lunch or dinner-time drink.

¾ ounce freshly squeezed grapefruit juice
¾ ounce simple syrup
1½ ounces vodka or grapefruit flavored vodka

Recipe
1. In a cocktail shaker, combine the grapefruit juice, simple syrup, and vodka.
2. Add ice and shake to chill.
3. Strain into a rocks glass filled with ice and garnish with a mint sprig.
