Wooly Mammoth

The Wooly Mammoth Cocktail is a creature of recent invention. It was invented in 2007 by a bartender at the "Sugar Hill" bar, in New York City's Manhattan's Lower East Side. The cocktail was named after the Hollywood Tarzan films from the 1930s and 1940s which followed an elephant boy raised by animals. In the novels, Tarzan was called Lord Greystoke and he often drank a Wooly Mammoth Cocktail, made from his own private stock of wine and spirits - so we can see how this drink has its roots in literature.
