4 Benefits of Daily Contact Lenses

Glasses are great – if you can choose the right pair you can look really stylish, and it’s a great way to add an extra accessory to any outfit. Sometimes though, they do get in the way. If you have statement glasses, the frames can feel a little heavy after a while, and there are some activities that are definitely easier without them on your face. Daily contact lenses are a great option for people who don’t wear contact lenses all the time, or for people who don’t want to have to clean and soak a pair of lenses every night.

More Hygienic Than Other Types of Lenses

Most types of contact lenses will need to be taken out each night to be cleaned and then soaked so that they are ready to be worn again the next day.

If you don’t wear your lenses all that often, this can feel a bit unnecessary, especially as you can’t just leave a pair of lenses soaking in contact lens solution forever! There’s also a slight risk of transferring dirt and debris from your hands onto the lenses if you don’t do a good job of cleaning them.

For this reason, a lot of people consider daily contact lenses to be more hygienic. You simply wear them for the day and then take them out and throw them away. Perfect if you don’t wear lenses all that often, or you just don’t like the idea of cleaning them.

Greater Vision Clarity

Contact lenses offer a much greater clarity of vision than glasses do. When you wear glasses you will always be able to see the frame, and your peripheral vision will always be uncorrected and therefore slightly blurry compared with your main field of vision as corrected through your glasses.

Contact lenses are designed to follow your vision so that you have a greater clear field of vision. This is particularly true for one-day lenses because they are often more breathable, which means that you are less likely to get dry and blurry eyes.

Your Face Looks Different Without Glasses

According to psychologists, we generally have a positive disposition to people who wear glasses.

We tend to assume that glasses wearers are:

  • More honest.
  • More trustworthy.
  • More intelligent.
  • Of a higher social class.
  • Less of a threat (particularly true for men).

That being said, sometimes it’s nice to be able to show off your face as it looks without glasses, to not have to consider whether your outfit matches your frames, or to not worry about whether wearing a hat would be too much with the glasses as well!

Contact lenses give you the opportunity to do this.

Easier to Play Sports

Having glasses on can make it more difficult to play sports because there is always a slight concern that they might fall off. There is also a risk, particularly if you are playing a ball sport, of your glasses getting hit and broken.

Contact lenses take away these worries, and they also make it easier for you to do things like wear helmets and other sports equipment.
