6 Delicious Things You’ve Never Done With Cheese Posted by: Aaron Stearns | 0 Comments

Like Johnny Cash, cheese is versatile enough to go with everything. Good times. Bad times. Fried potato times. It really is the perfect accompaniment to all things.

Unlike Johnny Cash, there may be situations in your life where you haven’t tried the application of cheese, and maybe you should. For instance, have you ever mixed it with peanut butter? Blueberries? Potato chips? If you’re intrigued, keep reading for some of the most compelling things food bloggers of the internet are doing with cheese.

1. Cottage cheese dip
This will take some convincing, but it has so much potential. According to this blogger, dipping potato chips into cottage cheese is how a food expert at Bon Apetit secretly enjoys his snack time. Knowing that, and knowing he kicks it up a notch by adding horseradish, we plan to give it a shot now.

2. Loaded cheese fry dip
So, let me get this straight. You took the contents of a loaded cheese fry basket, blended them up and turned it into a dip? And now we’re dipping tortilla chips into it? That’s diabolical. That’s genius. That’s a solid tailgating recipe right there.

3. Oh, Cranberry
This dish is part salsa, part dessert, part drug addiction. It mixes cream cheese, cilantro, cranberries and jalapenos. The creamy, the fruity, the spicy, oh, it’s almost too much to handle. Get a bag a chips, set aside an hour to eat and another hour to nap because mix this up and you’re not going anywhere for awhile.

4. Just add mustard
What’s cheese been missing all these years? Maybe it’s mustard. The next time you need a dip for your pretzels or just about any bready substance in your pantry, look right here. It’s also got mayo and a touch of root beer, but just go with it.

5. PB & Cheese
Cream cheese and peanut butter. It’s a match made in dipping heaven, if you can handle all that creamy. We’re talking cream cheese, peanut butter and two types of sugar. It’s more dessert than snack time, but we suspect it’ll be a hit at your next potluck. Or spread all over your breakfast toast, we won’t judge.

6. Blueberry brilliant
We saved the best for last. Look at this warm mixture of blueberries, cream cheese and cheddar cheese and then just try to stop the drooling. Why haven’t we thought of this already? It’s blueberry brilliance.
